Hello Peter

Listening to you at the Leveson Inquiry today, I thought you might be interested to have a look at the gentlemenranters site (www.gentlemenranters.com) which posts stories and comments from journalists, mainly retired or from the good old days, every Friday. Revel Barker, who runs the site, also publishes books by and about journalists. Although some are new titles, many are reprints of classic books by journalists and reporters who were famous in their day. You night like to take a look, to add to your interest and expertise. John Dale, who for many years edite Take A Break, the best-selling non-celebrity women's weekly, is also closely monitoring the Leveson Inquiry.

As an ex-tabloid journalist (Sunday People, Sun, Daily Mail) I am also taking a close interest in Leveson and feel journalism will never be the same again.

I have thought for many decades that the Lodge plays too important a role in the lives of top policemen.
We need a women at the top of the Met in order to purge the force of corruption and we should make it illegal for policemen to be members of the Lodge and other brotherhood organisations.

"Screws' Mr. Fixit" is finally arrested. Perhaps karma is working already - he's got some illness, unless that's made up as well. Oh, I know, good people get ill too.
